Etymology lesson: 

The term “spinster” today means an old, childless, unmarried woman. It’s a contraction of the phrase “old spinster”. 

That “old” in there is important.  

A few centuries back, a spinster was a job. It was simple indoor work that didn’t require physical strength, so the village maidens did this work. 

The moment they married, they stopped. That’s because being a wife and a mother is more valuable, rewarding and significant than weaving some fibres around.  

To call a woman an old spinster is to call her a failure. She never had a family, so she had to settle for the relatively meagre contributions of a childlike occupation. 

A modern analogy: 

It’s normal – Good, even – for 16-year-olds to work serving customers at McDonalds. The assumption is they’d outgrow that occupation. If they’re still doing that same job at 55, something has gone wrong. 

No shame to anyone forced into that position. There are plenty of cases where that’s the only job a grown person can get or can do. 

But if you can progress beyond that and don’t, you’re a failure. 

I hear many calls to retire spinster as an insult. Who cares if a woman never had children? There’s more to life than having a family! 

Yeah, there’s more to life than that. 

But none of it is better. 

Women in the workplace aren’t spinning threads these days. They’re working across industries – except those where you need to get your hands dirty. Those, for some reason, remain male-dominated.  

Many of those working women are doing great stuff. They’re intelligent, dedicated and insightful. They’re leading or founding companies, they’re filling critical gaps in the workforce and they’re innovating. 

Even then, most of those women would contribute more by focusing on their families first and careers second. 

“Misogynist!” It’s not misogyny to give women what they want, especially when it comes with huge sacrifices from the man.  

There’s a reason women are more miserable and depressed these days. 

As a man, that might not seem like your problem – but it is. Of course it is. I could point out how the flourishing of women leads to the flourishing of you, but I shouldn’t have to. Any decent man is chivalrous enough to want to keep the innocent from suffering too much. 

That, of course, relies on you being strong and wise. 

For a weak and foolish man can’t protect anything. In fact, he’s easily a pawn for evil. 

That’s why, as a matter of priority, you need to level up your game.

Respect by Arethra Franklin. 

It’s an incredible song – the signature song of a unique, powerful and talented woman. It’s so full of fire and life that it has a weight of its own. 

I like it, in other words. 

But it has a curious history. 

Franklin didn’t write it. It’s not clear who wrote it, but Otis Redding sang it first. A man had to sing it first because it’s a man’s song. 

The message is I work hard all day to provide for you, so when I get home I’d like some respect. 

It’s a reasonable ask. 

Also, no one cares. 

Men need respect. It’s food for our psyches. It’s why so many of us do seemingly foolish things, from joining gangs to working ourselves to death to going to war. This is also where the appeal of video games comes from. 

It’s real easy for men and women to give men respect. 

It tends not to happen, though. Unless you earn respect, you don’t get it. Even when you earn it, you probably won’t get it.  

Now, sure, Otis – great as he is – is no Arethra. 

But there’s a bigger reason why a woman demanding respect can be such a hit, while a man demanding it gets forgotten. 

And this is a Good thing. 

Like all Good things, it can lead to bad things – like gang violence and video game addiction. Channelled properly, though, and this is why men are willing to do literal herculean tasks. 

For the right respect from the right person, I absolutely would clean manure from stables or wrestle an invulnerable lion. 

People have died for a lot less than mere respect. 

Luckily, though, that’s not the only path ahead of you. 

If you want respect, you must become the best version of yourself. 

You need to face challenges and defeat evil. 

That’s easier with the right skills at hand.

As a young lad, I believed all the liberal talking points. 

I thought that religions were superstitions we’d outgrown thanks to science. On the back of science, we’d discover new and better morality. 

I thought diversity was a strength – that a nation of all white folks would fall behind one that welcomed people from across the demographics. 

Feminism was Good – the end of eons-long subjugation of women.  

Same-sex and poly marriages are great for society.  

Liberal secular democracies were the future. 

I was stupid to believe this back then, but not as stupid as folks who believe all that today. Today, we have the evidence of our senses. We can see, right in front of us, how disastrous that ideology is. 

“Tolerance” not only isn’t a virtue, but it’s one that eats itself. Predatory ideologies like Islam swarm in without intolerance to resist them. Without Christianity to fend off psychological threats to society, those threats devour us alive.  

We’re in a strange point in history. In the 1960s, we couldn’t see the damage that feminism, atheism and liberalism would do. Plenty of folks knew they’d be bad based on the wisdom of the ancestors, but that wisdom had to be taken on faith. 

(To be fair, it had earned that faith. Unlike liberalism, it had a long record of nurturing the best civilisations on the planet.) 

Now, though, we can see it. 

We can see how liberalism started with equality, then progressed to promoting perversion, and now we’re here – in a world unthinkable even ten years ago. 

In 2014, people said all these changes would lead to men competing in women’s sports, men in dresses reading erotica to children and a collapse of the family unit. Back then, people didn’t defend those changes. Liberals said it was ridiculous and impossible and a slippery slope fallacy.  

Few said these changes were Good. 

Now, though? Why, now those are unquestioned virtues of the State. If you question any aspect of them, you must be evil and regressive. 

If we’d all seen where it was going in 2014, it would have stopped right there. 

If we’d seen all this back in 1964, we would have fought against this present future with all our strength. 

Our priority is to stop the bleeding and save the patient. We need to repair as much of the damage as we can. We need to rebuild our institutions, including the free market and the rule of law.  

But we need one eye on the future. 

Christianity will rise again. Between now and that day, we’re likely facing a decimation of Western strength and virtue. Liberals salivate at this thought – at the end of colonialism or something – but they forget those virtues include democracy, equality, science, freedom and tolerance. 

If Trump wins in a landslide, he won’t ban gay marriage or put women in burqas. Most non-Western cultures already do that.  

Christianity will outlive the societies it helps. The birthplace of Jesus is an Islamic hellhole. Missionaries followed the British fleet at its height, then kept following after the Empire fell.  

Wherever Christianity rises again, it may or may not be in a Western nation. 

It’s not going away, though. 

And next time it rises, we can’t let our successors follow fools in ignorance. 

We have to let them know, in detail, what happened to us.  

They need to see how our unparalleled power fell immediately fell the moment we desanctified sex on a cultural level, told women to be like men, told men to be like women, let gay folks marry and opened our border.  

Each one of those decisions seemed like a great idea. It proved how open, trusting and welcoming we were. We weren’t shackled by the “hollow” “superstitions” of the past. 

Well, here we are. It turns out those so-called superstitions were loadbearing. 

We need to document and defend this Truth. We need to be accurate, entertaining and thorough. The next great Christian society might not be for hundreds of years from now – they need to have our wisdom, learned the painful way, deep in their culture. They need to write plays and poems mocking our leaders and the blue-haired fools who deny the evidence of history and their eyes. Their children need to know that while progress is great, but it isn’t automatically better – that many of the Old Ways protect them from Old Threats.  

This isn’t just for future societies. We want this for our own children too.  

If we do a Good enough job here, we can win the culture war now and for generations long after ours.  

It won’t be easy. In fact, we could easily fail. 

This matters, though. 

And while it might seem as though time, society and human nature are against us sometimes, we have Good, Truth and Beauty on our side. 

If we all give this an honest try, we can’t lose.

ADHD is real. 

I don’t know if it’s a medical condition and not just a personality quirk but, hey, I’m not a doctor. Don’t listen to me about medical things – or anything else for that matter.  

A while back, I saw an interesting video. It showed a young man with ADHD watching a video about mathematics.  

He’s squirming like an earthworm held over a lighter. 

Then it shows the same guy watching Star Wars. Behold and lo, he’s still, steady and focused. 

I hope there’s more to ADHD than a struggle to focus on boring things. For one thing, we’ve all been there. For another, that’s manageable. 

Yeah, you can train your power of focus. 

It’s not even that difficult. Relaxed and regular practice will get you some wild results. Combine that with lifestyle factors – proper sleep, decent nutrition, regular exercise – and anyone can focus more. 

Yeah, yeah, I get it. Struggling to focus goes from a weird quirk to a debilitating limitation real fast. 

Fine. All the more reason to train your mind. 

The brain is flexible – that’s the entire point of it. It changes, adapts and rewrites itself. 

None of that is new or controversial. The science has been settled – genuinely settled – on that for decades. The real mystery is around how it does that and what the limits are. 

Well, the limits are incredible. Neuroscience is littered with folks saying something is impossible, only for the brain to turn around and do it anyway.  

I don’t have a point, except to say we’re all different, we all face unique challenges and we can all improve. 

Hardly a radical take, I know, but hey. These days, maybe it is. 

Maybe with this race to the bottom of the victimhood hierarchy, saying you can improve your lot might be subversive. 

I don’t know.  

All I know is it’s True.

Some useful advice I heard for reading the Holy Bible: 

Don’t read it as a story happening to other folks. 

You are part of the story.  

Some old texts are pure mythology, describing godlike beings duking it out in a world like ours. Some others are historical texts. The Holy Bible straddles that range, taking the supernatural and enmeshing it in our history. 

The Book of Acts is still going and we’re part of that. 

I’m speaking metaphorically. As Galatians 1 points out, anyone who preaches a different gospel is a fool who should be cursed. I’m not saying there’s more to the New Testament. I’m saying the story of the Bible continues to unfold. 

Again, you are part of the Bible’s story. 

I hope that gives you some comfort. The Word of God lives and breathes, just as you live and breathe.  

Rejoice, sinner. Rejoice, child of God. Whatever He has planned for you, it’s not over yet. 

If only he left some clues – say, in a neatly organised text – about what He wants you do to…

The popularity of the trans movement can be explained through simple marketing. It gives its adherents something they want. 

Here are the benefits. To show this isn’t just me making manure up, I’ll add evidence for each claim: 

Going from a white guy to a trans woman means going from the top to the bottom of the victimhood hierarchy. If you’re dumb enough to believe in systemic racism or the patriarchy, this gives you an out and an excuse to play the victim. 

Evidence: most trans and non-binary folks are white.  

Sexual desirability is… well, an analogy I once heard is someone lost in the desert and someone drowning both have different opinions on the optimal amount of water. Men suffer from a lack of attention; women suffer from too much. Most men would go to extremes to be as desired as a woman. 

Evidence: trans women especially go to such extreme feminine caricatures. If it were about feeling comfortable in their own skin, you’d see less cosplaying and more sweatpants. 

Most folks feel as though something is wrong or off most of the time. That’s because we’re natives of the Kingdom of Heaven, not the material earth. But being in the wrong body fits. It’s an enticing explanation, except that nothing ever fixes that feeling. 

Evidence: mental illness is rife among the trans community. “That’s because they’re oppressed!” Gay folks before marriage equality didn’t suffer from this level of insanity. If embracing their “real” gender fixed things, it would. Instead, they remain crazy and unhappy. 

Good ol’ fashioned perversion. They do it because it gets them off. 

Evidence: have you read the trans reddit groups? If not, I have to warn you – they’re creepy.  

It’s an appealing package for a certain sort of person. 

If only it weren’t all just dangerous and evil lies. 

I’m guessing you’re not tempted by these “benefits”. 

You’re probably Stoic enough to know to live with your problems, mitigating them where possible. 

It probably wouldn’t occur to you to blame society for your woes.

Most change happens day by day, inch by inch. 

You wake up, follow your habits and slowly transform. For the better or worse? That depends a lot on what those habits are. 

But not all change is like this. 

Sometimes, you transform in the blink of an eye. 

Think of a near-death experience that motivates someone to live life to the full. 

Or a chance encounter with a stranger that leads to a new way of seeing the world.  

Sometimes it’s like building a castle. You find the right site, design it, then lay each stone down at a time. 

And sometimes it’s like pulling a sword from a stone and suddenly you’re the king. 

The cliche is that going slow is better because it creates firmer foundations. That’s often the case, yeah, but not always. Becoming a king is a more drastic change than building a castle.  

Sometimes, the fast road is more transformative. 

The sword in your hand is instant and intense. So you have two ways of changing, both of which can rewrite your destiny for the better: slow like a castle, fast like a sword. 

“I’ll take the sword please!” 

Of course. 

Just go find it, then pull the sword from the stone. Fair warning: there’s a town’s worth of folks who have tried and failed. 

“I’ll give it my best! Uh… where is the sword and how do I get there?” 

If you have to ask, maybe you’re not ready. 

Pulling the sword from the stone is the toughest challenge there is, but no one so much as owes you a map on how to get there. 

It’s worse than you might try and fail. The truth is, you might not even get to try.  

All I know is this: 

If you ever come across a sword in a stone, I hope you’re at your best. 

I hope your body is strong, your mind is sharp and your spirit is unyielding.  

Whether all that’s True or not is up to you.

History progresses, but not in a straight line.  

It runs on cycles. 

Three related cycles are: 

1. The classic Weak Men Make Hard Times one (strong men make Good times, Good times make weak men, weak men make hard times, hard times make strong men), 

2. The Book of Judges (people suffer, people turn to God, God blesses them, people thrive, people turn from God, people suffer), 

3. Feminism (men suffer to build civilisation, civilisation thrives, civilisation grows more feminised, civilisation rots, men suffer to rebuild civilisation). 

You’d think knowing this would help. 

You’d think the decline of the West after turning from God, women getting what they want but being crazy and miserable, and the post-WW2 triumph lasting only one generation might all be clues here. 

It’s blindingly obvious at this stage. 

Things are worse than they’ve been in decades – economically, politically, militarily, even culturally. This happens when godless and feminine men start steering the discourse. 

But folks are noticing. 

Things are starting to shift. 

This year has seen many implosions of woke entertainment studios. Those aren’t victories – victories would be an influx of quality, successful, normal games and shows. But it’s progress. 

The US is about to reelect Trump. Unless the DNC steals the election – which is possible, if not likely – then Kamala will lose. She’s ahead in the polls because she’s been out of the spotlight but she can’t hide forever.  

The German elections saw a fAr-riGhT party win a seat, although I heard rumours of some dodginess that might keep them out of power. 

The culture war fights on the battlefield of memes, and the ancient adage of “the left can’t meme” grows more obvious than ever. 

Two real women went viral by pretending to be trans women and the wokie outrage has made their hypocrisy undeniable. 

I see young folks and families at church, and there’s a real sense of excitement. Even the non-religious are waking up to the persecution and cultural benefits of Christianity. 

Men and women are learning the value of traditional gender roles every day.  

Things aren’t Good. I expect there’ll be a lot of pain, destruction and tyranny in our future. 

Still, the culture is returning to where it should be. 

It won’t be smooth and it won’t be easy, but the corrupt systems are beginning to fail. They can’t keep the Truth down for much longer. 

Whatever happens next, prepare. 

Pray, become resilient, assume nothing, remain alert and build your skills.

I’m not a sentimental person, generally.  

I’d defend an ancient artefact because it’s unique and it tells us things about history. But my emotional attachments to it would be loose and light. 

Don’t trust me with any family heirlooms. I’ll do my best to protect them, but I’d feel no attachment to them.

I don’t like goodbyes. I like routines and I like people.  

Goodbyes are an end to both. 

I’m in a transition phase right now, where core parts of my life – like where I live and what I do – are all about to change. 

But this, right here, is a point of stability.

That streak, unbroken over more than a year, isn’t precious to me. If I break it, that’s no big deal.

A key part of wokie psychology is the irresistible impulse to project. 

Wokies project so hard SETI uses them to send signals to other planets. That’s why aliens stay away – they don’t like what they hear. 

They call you racist because they’re racist. 

They say you only hate, say, The Acolyte because of its politics. That’s the only reason they like it.  

They accuse normies of being impossible to please and unwilling to compromise, despite overwhelming evidence suggesting the opposite.  

And the way women wokies react to normal women is telling. If a woman says a man was once nice to her and men deserve respect, you already know the unhinged responses they have for her: 

“You have internalised misogyny!” Uh huh. Woke women hate women so much that they’re trying to erase themselves. Whenever women’s rights and trans rights conflict – and they often do – they don’t even hesitate to sell themselves out.  

“You’re just a pick me!” Another key part of wokie psychology is collectivism. They believe what they believe because the folks around them tell them to believe that. This is True for any group to some extent, but wokies are so radical with this that any deviation from the script on any point is unforgivable. 

See: JK Rowling, a left-wing feminist who the wokies hate more than anyone besides Trump. 

A pick me is a woman who says what she doesn’t believe just for male validation. Wokies say what they don’t believe for peer validation.  

Projection, projection, projection. 

It never stops and there are so exceptions. 

Or are there? 

Because a common phrase that comes out of the mouths of wokies is “Handmaid’s Tale!!!” 

They scream that a second Trump term (the guy who used to judge women in bikinis) will lead to every woman wearing burqas, while also defending Islam at every turn. 

So it’s hypocritical. 

But if the pattern holds… does that mean they’re projecting here? By accusing folks at random of wanting to enslave all women, do they actually want to be enslaved? 

Maybe some. You know most of those blue-hairs are just three rocking orgasms away from rethinking their entire lives. 

But no, I think they just want to enslave everyone else. 

They warn that Trump et al will take away women’s right to speak and their bodily autonomy. 

Wokies are as pro-censorship as literal fascists.  

As for bodily autonomy, we saw how they reacted during the lockdown years. 

They’d love to live in a handmaid-style society, assuming they’re the ones in charge.  

Don’t trust them, don’t listen to them, don’t hire them, don’t date them. 

And definitely don’t accept their insults. They’re extremely solipsistic – the only crimes they can think of are the ones they’re guilty of themselves. 

Do pity them, pray for them and mock them.
