The Most Popular Thing In The World Has Nothing On This

If you could have more of anything – anything at all – what would you pick?

Money is a common answer. It makes sense – money is essential. But that’s something you can already make more of.

A wiser answer is to choose to have more of what you can’t make yourself.

Like time. No matter how rich, powerful or successful you are, you have the same hours per day as everyone else. You can’t buy time or make more of it. Whether you spend or squander a moment, it’s gone.

But is more time even what you want?

What if you had an extra couple of hours each day… but were too exhausted to do anything with them?

Or… what if you had enough energy to use the time you have?

We all want more energy. The most popular drinks in the world – after water – are tea and coffee. People drink them in the hopes of being more energetic.

In fact, people adore their tea and coffee. For so many, a coffee break is the highlight of the day. Add soft drinks and energy drinks to the picture, and caffeinated drinks might be one of the most popular, most beloved things in the world.

This is despite them being terrible. Never mind the extra calories or toxic artificial sweeteners. Never mind that they can leave you jittery, headachy and struggling to sleep at night.

Oh, no, the problems with caffeine are far simpler to express.

If you feel tired all the time, some medical experts will recommend eliminating your caffeine consumption.

You got that, right?

If you’re tired, a solution is to drink less coffee.

The world is so eager for more energy, we reach for a beverage that burns out adrenal glands, boosts stress hormones and leaves you exhausted if you stop drinking it.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer solutions that don’t make the problem worse.

But, hey, this awful solution is better than nothing, I guess.

You don’t need to suffer from adrenal fatigue, bad coffee breath, stained clothes, stained teeth, disgusting cheap tea or expensive barista-made sludge every day.

And you can feel more energetic than you do right now. I’m not talking about the harsh, chemical, adrenaline energy of jitteriness. Think more like the smooth, natural energy where you can do whatever you need – whether that’s crush it at the gym, or sit still and focus for a while.

And I’m not talking about some energy drink or herbal supplement.

Your brain already has everything you need to feel more energy. I’m not talking about hyperactivity, but enough energy to:

  • Do what you need to, from work to chores, and feel less like a lukewarm zombie at the end of the day,
  • Be more present with people. When you’re tired, your mind wanders. You flake out on plans. When you do show up to things, you don’t show up fully. The folks in your life deserve to experience you at your best – and your best self has more energy than this,
  • Better resist fake energy spikes like sugar and unnaturally neon chemical slop they laughably call “energy drinks”,
  • Stop “borrowing energy” from your future so much. Too many people push through their fatigue and ignore what their body is telling them, only to crash hard later. There are times you’ll need to do this, sure, but if this is a habit of yours, please know it doesn’t have to be,
  • Get more out of your life. What would you do with those moments to yourself if you had more energy and could focus more easily? Would you research your industry? Study? Practice your hobbies? Work on your side business? Go out into the world and meet more people?
  • Stop revenge scrolling, perhaps entirely. Revenge scrolling is a funny idea. “I spent all day working for my boss, then taking care of friends and family. I just want some time to myself to scroll on social media!” Is that what you actually want though? I know that’s what Zuckerberg wants you to do. If you think that’s self-care, though, you’re doing it wrong – and that’s the sort of decision you make when you’re too tired to make the right one.

I can’t make any specific claims here. Your energy levels are complicated, influenced by your habits, your environment, your health and your outlook. Also, I’m not a doctor, psychologist, or anything like that. This isn’t medical advice – and professional medical advice might be what you need right now.

But whatever is going on, you can feel more naturally energetic given your circumstances. Exactly what that looks like depends on too many things. But surely naturally feeling more energetic would improve your lot.

Get More of What You Want & Need

I had an uncomfortable epiphany recently:

A decade or two ago, I used to buzz with energy. I used to be excited by default, always curious and exploring, my mind ablaze with new ideas all the time.

While I’m glad I’m not as hyperactive (and let’s be real, immature and annoying) as that anymore, it’d be nice to reclaim that enthusiasm.

Someone else in this situation might have then thought, ah, well, such is life. I’m in my late 30s now – of course I’m not as energetic as I used to be! I’m older now, plus the stresses and pressures in my life are greater than ever. That’s just the way things are.

A pox on that.

I’m an expert in the mind – specifically, in using your mind to get more of what you want and less of what you don’t. Any expert like me knows to ignore every explanation why you can’t do something, and ask instead how to do it.

So I sat down and thought about it. I came up with a list of 16 things that would help.

Since then, without getting any extra sleep, without taking any supplements, and without doing anything difficult or time-consuming, I’ve noticed I now:

  • Wake up earlier. I used to set an alarm for late in the morning. A few days a week, I wouldn’t set it at all and instead sleep the morning away. Now, I set an alarm for 5 am – and usually wake up before it, feeling ready for the day. I go to sleep earlier, so I’m still getting enough hours, but now it’s on my schedule – not my body’s,
  • Have better interactions with people. Not only am I more present, but it’s nice being around someone who’s feeling good in the moment,
  • Push myself harder at the gym. And recover better,
  • Do deep work for longer and more easily. There are certain sessions I run for clients that go for 2 or 2.5 hours. Those used to leave me “hungover” and needing a few hours to recover. Recently, I ran a harder, more complex version of this session for 5 hours (I’d only planned on it lasting 3 hours but it was too good to stop). By the end, I was mostly fine – better off than the shorter, simpler sessions used to leave me,
  • People pay more attention to me while out and about. They’re not checking me out or anything, but they do notice,
  • Better resist junk food, YouTube binges and social media,
  • Was able to beat a chessbot who consistently trounced me before. When I reviewed the game, I played at an elo more than 1000 points higher than my actual rating. (Full disclosure: the stars aligned with this game and I don’t always play that well now. But I do tend to play better than normal),
  • Keep my home cleaner and more tidy,
  • Function at my peak even with low sleep. This isn’t a permanent thing – if I’d kept trying to focus, think creatively and act fast while cutting back on sleep, I’d crash eventually. But, for three days straight, I was able to focus more than usual even when not resting properly,
  • Have more excitement and enthusiasm about the little things in life.

Your results may and likely will vary. Simply know that none of these benefits surprised me.

And if you get similar results, or better, that won’t surprise me either. Everything is easier with even a little more energy.

Getting What the Basic Advice Fails At

If you look up how to have more energy, you already know what you’ll find.

Have a consistent sleep schedule, eat right, get fresh air and sun, do some exercise, meditate…

If information was all we needed, there’d be no problem.

Perhaps you try to get more sleep but you can’t. You go to bed early, only to toss and turn, not falling asleep until later than you normally would have.

Or you get more sleep, but it doesn’t help enough.

Perhaps you’d love to eat well, work out and get plenty of sunlight, but you can’t fit that into your schedule.

It becomes another thing to stress about.

By all means, take care of yourself as best you can.

But I’m not here to offer you the same basic advice you already know. All that is common sense anyway.

I’m here with a solution.

Something different – better, more effective, and more practical than the common advice.

Because whether you follow the advice consistently or ignore it entirely, either way, your days are different.

Some days, you have enough energy to get things done.

Other days, every moment is a struggle.

What’s the difference? If some days are better than others, regardless of the common advice, then there’s something else at play.

Tap into whatever that is, and you’ll have more of the better days. You’ll show up with more of yourself.

That’s what I did when I boosted my energy levels – easily, naturally, without strain or forcing anything, and with no crash.

And that’s what I can do for you.

You can experience your energy at your natural potential – or, at least, a lot closer to it – from anywhere with an internet connection.

All you need to do is join The Vitality Boost – my online group sessions designed to elevate your energy levels naturally.

Your mind has everything you need to feel more energetic. You’ve experienced this before. There have been days when you’ve been bone tired, where you struggle to keep your eyes open… and then you have a simple chat with someone and, boom, you’re wide awake again.

Or you stretch your legs and that’s enough. Many folks complain about how couch tiredness doesn’t translate to bed tiredness. You’re watching TV, nodding off, but the short walk to your bed is enough to leave you wide awake.

Now imagine that, only useful.

It’s energy on your terms. All from within you.

Because the mind can give you everything you need, once you’re able to unlock it.

That’s how The Vitality Boost sessions work – by drawing out the spark of vitality that’s in there, trying to get out.

By showing up and listening, you’ll balancing what needs balancing and tune into what needs tuning into.

The Vitality Boost sessions use 16 groups of hypnotic patterns to energies and revitalise you. Let my words do what they do best, leaving you feeling refreshed and focused.

FAQs

How do I sign up?

Simply follow this link, choose a session that suits you and register for it.

Then, at the session time, follow the link emailed to you to join. Note that you’ll need Zoom on your device, which you can install for free.

What do I need to do?

This is important: only attend a session if it’s safe for you to close your eyes during the session. That means do NOT attend while driving, looking after small children or anything similar.

Simply follow the link in your email inbox at the scheduled time. From there, simply watch and listen.

You’re never required to say or do anything with other participants on the call. I might ask questions to the group occasionally, but you only respond if you want to.

Do your best to keep your space free from distractions. Some distractions are fine, but the fewer, the better.

What can I expect to happen?

I will lead the group through The Vitality Boost sessions, which will be a pleasant, relaxation and energising experience.

Exactly what will happen each session will vary. The most likely outcome is you feel good during the session, then notice improvements to your energy and focus for at least the next few days.

How many of these should I attend?

As many as you like. I recommend starting with one per week. If you aren’t attending at least once every two weeks, you might not get the full benefits.

Each session will use 1, 2 or 3 of the 16 hypnotic patterns that make up The Vitality Boost. If my calculations hold true, that means there are 696 potential formats for each session. Every session is different, special, and unlikely to be repeated for a long time.

What if there are technical issues?

If you pay for a session and then can’t attend for whatever reason – your internet goes down, something comes up – then reach out to me and I’ll credit you with a free session.

Note that no credit is given for missing a free session.

In the unlikely event that I can’t attend a session, I’ll credit you with two free sessions – one to cover the one I missed, and one as compensation.

You mentioned “hypnotic patterns” – what if I can’t be hypnotised?

That’s fine – the hypnotic patterns will still work. They aren’t intended to hypnotise you, although you might choose to have a hypnotic experience during the session. Instead, they work with your unconscious mind to rebalance you, restore you and help you focus.

If you’re human and can hear me, these patterns will work for you.

Can I listen to this right before bed?

Yeah. In fact, the two best times to listen to this are in the mornings and late at night.

This isn’t like the overly stimulating buzz of a cup of strong coffee. It’s closer to like a warm, soothing mug of herbal tea – perfect at any time of day.

I can’t attend the group sessions. Are there recordings?

The Vitality Boost sessions are a group experience. Even if you do nothing but listen, being live with the group makes this work better. As such, there are no recordings.

If these sessions don’t work for your schedule, feel free to book in for a hypnosis session with me. Doing that will let you choose from a range of times, plus receive my full, focused attention.

Otherwise, I’m open to suggestions. Ask if I can add a time slot to these sessions that suits you better. If enough others do too, and if it fits my schedule, I’ll add it.
