Why Mane Meditations?
Because you’re a lion – and every lion needs a mane. A mane isn’t a weapon – it’s not teeth, claws or even a muscle. Even so, it’s a symbol of raw power. It’s health, strength and protection all at once.
A powerful predator doesn’t need to beat the other animals into submission. That’d be a sign of weakness and a waste of energy. Instead, he just shows up, they see the mane and they fall into respectful submission.
Also, mane is Latin for early. These run early in the day – in the Canberra/Sydney/Melbourne time zone, at least.
That and by practicing this, you’re showing up early to the new masculinity.
A hundred years ago, it was considered manly to use violence to bring your family into line.
When I grew up, society taught us that real manliness involved being weak, passive, submissive and feminine.
Neither is right. Neither invokes the spirit of the lion, the wolf patriarch or the might of the silverback.
Relying on violence to get your way is weakness. Your strength of character should be enough.
And folks are starting to wake up to that. Society can lie to us all it wants, but weak, feminine, gender-confused boys don’t get laid. When men of strength and character get all the girls and all the admiration, the truth inevitably comes out.
By embracing masculine virtue, you’re early to this revolution.
That’s assuming you act on this chance, that is. Being early and taking no action gives you no advantage.
