Obviously we don’t want billions to suffer and succumb, but there’s no denying the escapist thrill of it.

When society collapses, all the bullmanure goes with it. No more mortgage, no more cubicles, no more SickTok.
Also, don’t underestimate the appeal of karma-free violence.
