An idiotic take on Christianity:
“Jesus hung around sinners and sex workers, but modern Christians are so judgemental. They should be more like Christ!”
And you should open a Bible before talking about it.
To put it pithily, Jesus loves sinners and despises sin. He hung around sinners and sex workers because they needed Him the most.
That’s hardly a radical interpretation. He says as much when the fusspots of His day challenged Him on it.
I think folks picture Jesus having a Good time with sinners, passing a blunt around and talking about unconditional love. That’s not the Christ. He didn’t pass the time with them – He lectured them about sin.
Jesus is judgement.
Modern Christians only fail this by being too soft of judgement, not by being too strict.
My Goodness, imagine calling modern Christians too strict.
That’s what happens when you let ignorance around basic Christian concepts thrive.
In the interests of enforcing some discipline, I’m putting my foot down.
Open your Bible, do some exercise and level up your nervous system.
