The worst sales pitch I’ve ever done

I used to have this boss. Great boss. I’d love to work with them again.

But…

They had this quirk. They’d go on a business retreat or leadership seminar, then come back to the office bustling with a New Thing to implement.

Something to help us find our core competencies, our strengths, our weaknesses, stuff like that.

And we’d begin implementing that for a while.

But then Business As Usual would take over and we’d have to shelve it.

Then, six months later, another workshop. Another shiny New Thing.

I used to do this. The proof of my growth is that I’ve intensely studied and applied hypnosis for over eight years, neurolinguistic programming for over four years and Christian philosophy for over two years.

Taken together, with some extra things I’ve picked up along the way, they create Operational Christianity.

For most folks, this is new.

But you might not need “new”.

If you keep bouncing from project to project, chasing the shiny new thing, what you need instead is to go back to something that worked and you abandoned. Stop chasing and start implementing.

Don’t hire me, in other words.

Seriously. If I’ll just be one more thing you chase and then bounce off after a while, neither of us wants that.

Shoo. Go back to basics.

Then again…

If you need help sticking with stuff – if, like me, you want to change this terrible, life-eroding habit…
