I’ll say it again, shall I?

The WWW – Women, Weak men and Wokies – lack all ability to see nuance. Everything is so black and white for them. They project like crazy too. This is how they can say obviously false and hypocritical things like “Star Wars fans just can’t stand seeing women in things!”

That’s backwards. Every Star Wars fan can handle seeing strong women, since every book, game and movie has them. But the wokies can’t handle seeing strong white straight men in things. They can’t stomach it.

This inability to see nuance is a mental disorder. The world is nothing but complexity and layers. Unnuanced thinking leaves you blinded.

So for the WWW crowd, let me explain it real slow.

Yes, Walter White, Rick Sanchez and Tyler Durden are bad people. You wouldn’t want your kid brother to be anywhere near them.

They’re flawed and they’re villains.

But they’re not pathetic. That’s what makes them scary – if they were pathetic, they’d be harmless. Instead, they’re strong. They’re smart, cunning, tough, resilient, creative and ruthless.

They distort society just by walking through it.

That’s what men admire.

Rick Sanchez is a selfish, miserable drunk who causes death and misery wherever he goes. He’s also brilliant, tenacious, driven, self-reliant and powerful. That’s what we admire.

Walter White played by the rules his entire life and it cost him everything. He decided to carve his own path instead. That’s what we admire – it being a bad path makes it tragic, not heroic.

And Tyler Durden is so overwhelmingly charismatic that it’s practically a superpower. He’s free and he frees others. That’s what we admire.

Yeah, these things appeal to our darker nature. There’s some appeal there. But if they were just evil and not also powerful, they’d be boring.

When Star Wars fans say they want an R-rated Darth Vader movie, the usual drool-stained idiots crawl out of their swamps to mock them. “He’s the villain, you idiots!!!” Yeah, and these fans would be happy to see him lose. They still want to see him cut loose in a few senate chambers and battlefields before he does that.

And while women, weak men and wokies want everything to be safe (for them) and politically correct, they forget that darkness grows in darkness. The only strong man is one who’s faced his own shadow and come through stronger.

That’s not what this is about.

If you haven’t heard the news by now, some nutjob shot Donald Trump at a rally. Trump is fine – by the grace of God, the bullet just grazed his ear – but this is still an awful turn of events. It looks like innocent bystanders were hurt, including a fatality – my prayers and sympathies go with their family.

The gunman’s dead too. That’s bad and sad too because all death is, though it’s a reasonable outcome of all this. All human life is precious in the eyes of God, even this lunatic’s. But better him than his intended victim.

Let’s assume the assassin was a lone nutjob and there was no conspiracy within the Secret Service. I don’t know if this is true or not, but it’s the most favourable interpretation.

The MSM called Trump the next Hitler and an existential threat to the world. Then some lunatic believed them.

Well, guess what?

The MSM also calls you a Nazi and an existential threat to the world. I don’t care if you’re a black non-binary lesbian communist unionist – something you’ve said or done flags you as far right.

Trump was right. Under the best interpretation of events, the MSM seeks to whip lunatics into a murderous frenzy and unleash them on you.

And if the gunman was a Deep State operative or the Secret Service willingly turned a blind eye, then it’s even worse. If someone as powerful as Trump isn’t safe from their machinations, you and I have no chance.

But let’s look on the bright side here:

This shot reveals a lot.

It reveals Trump’s strength and character. The way he handled himself under fire was extraordinary. Despite bleeding from a head wound, he took time to reassure the crowd he was fine.

A few of the photos from that rally will go in the history books.

It reveals how broken and deranged American politics has gotten.

It reveals the True character of each leftist. Some have said that as much as they loathe Trump, this was a terrible thing. Good on them. Others have blamed Trump, which is deranged. Others still are sad that the bullet missed. They’re the pathetic form of evil, worthy only of contempt and pity.

It reveals the media as being deluded liars. You and I already know that, but reporting on this clarifies it for layfolk.

Trump didn’t “fall down”.

He wasn’t whisked away by the Secret Service after “a loud bang”.

This wasn’t “startled by a noise”.

It was an assassination attempt. If a disgruntled farmer threw an egg at Biden, they’d paint it as an assassination attempt ordered by Trump. They call walking through a building a coup attempt, remember.

The more the MSM refused to call this what it was, the clearer it reveals their wickedness and bias.

Rejoice, for evil can’t endure.

Guilt is a terrible burden. Guilty folks – even uncaring psychopaths – yearn to stop hiding. They want to confess, even though they know the consequences of confessing would be painful.

This guilt can express itself in many ways.

A classic is the overcompensator. Think of a closeted gay guy who won’t shut up about how much he loves banging hot chicks. The idea here is to drown out the cause of the guilt.

The opposite also happens. A guilty man might confess in a mild or deniable way.

A cheater might complain about being exhausted from being ridden hard all day.

Or someone with dark desires might write a novel where a character happens to have dark desires.

Confessing through fiction is cathartic for the tormented soul. It lets them feel seen while pretending it’s all something they imagined out of nothing.

Anyway, remember when the wokies got a chortle at the start of this season of The Boys?

Uh…

Vought is overtly a combination of Disney, CNN and Pfizer, plus a few others. This isn’t subtle – on the Disney side, Vought has everything from its own version of the MCU to themeparks to a streaming serving called Vought+. Their version of CNN is called VNN.

And if that’s all too subtle, they use the same graphic style.

Vought just happens to be a company run by right-wing folks. And, in searching their imaginations, the woke writers came up with an interesting list of crimes and misdeeds this company commits on the regular:

Lying about current events to manipulate the public.

Creating politically charged entertainment, especially aimed at children.

Focusing on image, diversity and public relations at the expense of efficiency.

Plotting riots, insurrections and assassinations, then blaming their enemies for them.

Covering up murders and fatal accidents by the dozens.

Scheming to be put in charge of all government institutions.

Deliberately creating division and stoking the culture war.

Buying politicians and judges.

Conducting dangerous medical experiments on innocent people.

Cosying up to billionaires and essentially giving them free reign.

Setting up internment camps for their enemies.

That last one is especially laughable. Two years ago, wokies cried out in huge numbers for the unjabbed to be fired, stripped of their children and sent into internment camps. They didn’t even try to hide it – those are the words they used.

Now, they’re all, “hey, if conservatives were in the position we’re in now, look at what awful things they’d do!” as the blood runs down their wrists.

It’s funny and sad, but I understand their need to confess. Pity them, listen to them admit their crimes and protect yourself against them.

But I’m not some lunatic fundie over here. A few years ago, I was the snarky atheist. That means I know their best arguments and many of them are great.

They’re wrong, but they’re worth engaging with.

Not all of them, though.

Take, for example, this sentiment which shows up on the regular:

“There have been thousands of religions throughout human history but, yes, YOU were smart enough to pick the right one.”

The only flattery I get is sarcastic, so I’ll take it.

It’s wrong, though.

Yes, I follow the one True religion but, no, I feel no pride about that.

God gave the world His word, God took human form to spread His word, and it still took Him opening my mind to see the Truth.

That’s pathetic.

I didn’t come to Christianity through some mighty feat of my own. I needed the facts laid out before me and then I needed to get past my own biases to see it.

The logic of Christianity has been there my entire life. I couldn’t see it for 35 years. When I finally did, it wasn’t from me being clever. It was from me not being foolish anymore.

Which brings me to another snarky atheist jab:

“Grow up and face reality!”

I did. And when I did, I saw my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ staring back at me with loving kindness.

Facing reality is a beautiful thing.

Every so often, I challenge myself to drink more water.

I sit at a desk a lot. Sitting stops me feeling thirsty, so it’s easy for me to underdo it. Challenges like this are my way of warding against my own foolishness.

At first, it’s usually fine. If you’re underhydrated, your body welcomes the extra water. After a while, though, I find myself feeling waterlogged.

My old approach was to do cardio. That made sense to me. Like many things that make sense, it didn’t work. Even though it was hot enough that I was sweating before I started the cardio, I still struggled to drink enough water.

Weights training, though?

I guess using and building muscle takes a lot of water, because I can drink incredible amounts of water when I push the iron.

Iron is the answer – now tell me the question.

If you want to burn fat, then lift weights.

If you want to look and feel better, then lift weights.

If you want to sleep deeper, easier and better, then lift weights.

If you want to be smarter, then lift weights.

And if you don’t want to lift weights, then find another way to build muscle. I find boxing drills are fun, effective, addictive and great ways to relieve stress.

None of this is original advice, but it’s Good advice.

Ancient Rome was, in many ways, better than medieval Europe.

It had greater trade and military security. These in turn led to material wealth – the sort of thing that lets you buy thick cloaks, educate your children and spend time writing poetry.

So if I had to choose between living in Ancient Rome or Dark Ages Europe, I’d choose…

… well, I’d pick Christian Europe over pagan Rome. Otherwise, Rome is generally the better choice.

I don’t dispute that.

But the darkness of the Dark Ages is wildly exaggerated. It wasn’t the backwards, oppressive, superstitious, miserable you might think.

(By modern standards, it was all those things. That’s because we live in an age of unparalleled wealth, freedom and scientific might. Most of history is bleak by modern standards, usually in different ways than most folks think.)

The Dark Ages lacked the strong institutions of Ancient Rome. So did most of the world, most of the time. That doesn’t mean it was a yawning chasm, a blight on the enlightened cultures of Europe.

Folks still built, invented, waxed poetic and traded in the usual amounts.

The idea that the Dark Ages were a bleak cesspool in history is nothing but backfiring Protestant propaganda. They wanted to paint Catholic Europe in the worst possible light, with Protestantism being the beacon of enlightenment.

It backfired because layfolk don’t make that distinction. They see Dark Ages Europe as Christian – not Catholic as such, just Christian – with the Enlightenment being a move towards modern atheism.

Protestants wanted to damn the Catholic Church. Instead, they damned Christianity itself.

Oops.

I say this as someone who goes to an Anglican church, so don’t at me for being too Catholic. For that matter, I pray the rosary daily, so don’t at me for not being Catholic enough.

My point is the Dark Ages is a tribal issue. It’s atheists versus Christians, Catholics versus Protestants.

Forget that. Stop boxing your thinking in. “The Dark Ages were a bad but normal period” is a simplistic take, but it’s Newtonian in its brilliance compared to “Dark Ages bad”.

Most of what you learn is incomplete at best, told by folks with agendas.

Including and especially this.

Maybe, maybe not.

What helps me work out consistently is treating it as worship. Suffering for a purpose is about as Christian a thing as you can do.

So I decided to expand that.

Cleaning my apartment is worship – bringing order, purity and cleanliness to my living space while listening to Bible studies.

Using AI to create gospel music is worship. My channel only has 11 followers right now. Even if it had zero, I’d still do it. Rewriting the psalms into modern musical styles has been an excellent form of study.

Practising the guitar and piano are worship, because music is holy.

Dieting is worship because it’s fasting.

Loving is worship because God is love.

None of these things replaces praying, but they supplement it beautifully.

Work is worship, so is learning.

Which means so is this:

Take social media.

Remove all gossip and adult material.

Get rid of all the pride, envy and leading the righteous astray.

What you have is more content created per second than you could ever consume in a lifetime.

But there’d be a lot less of it.

The vast majority of social media is nothing but a mess of sin, folly and lies. LinkedIn, being the professional platform, is still awful.

Use it or don’t – I know many folks who do God’s work on social media.

But be vigilant and use protection.

And the best protection is to just not use it.

I’m being hypocritical here, given that I’m on a few of them daily.

But being in the fight means I know how bloody it is.

When you can get out of your head and see the world as others do, social media becomes a lot less corrosive to your psyche.

When Jesus and the apostles visited the house of Martha and Mary, Martha did what so many women do.

Bless her, because this is as much a feminine virtue as it is a weakness.

She fretted, working herself ragged to be a Good host for Him and His followers. This is nice – from the nonna who’ll feed you past your limits to the young woman hosting her first dinner party, a sweet woman makes her guests feel comfortable.

But, as often happens, Martha overdid it, got frazzled, then turned passive aggressive.

But Martha was distracted with much serving; and she went to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.”

We’ve all known women who do this. Martha wants her sister to help her, so she asks Jesus to tell her to help.

As usual, Jesus has the answer:

But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.”

There you have it.

If you’re anxious – whether you’re a man or woman – it’s probably because you’re focusing on too many things.

Work, chores, your relationships, your future, the world’s future, all the injustice and uncertainty around you…

By all means, keep those things in mind.

But don’t let them overwhelm you.

If Christ walks into your home, then serve Him. Or listen to Him. Both are honourable – though one is clearly better – so make your choice and then do it without complaining.

Think on that the next time you’re anxious. There’s a lot you’re focusing on and there’s only one thing you should be.

Then again, that’s tactical.

Strategic advice would help keep the anxiety from arising in the first place.

If you’re a man, you don’t let your emotions overwhelm you often.

Emotions are a tool among many. Most of the time, they’re only part of your thinking and decisions.

But sometimes, they flare up.

You look at the world around you and, for a moment, you feel horror. You see the slide into evil, tyranny, slavery, destruction and misery, and it seems so obvious. Yet most folks walk around either ignoring it or actively supporting it.

The worst part is how wrong most advocates are. The loudest voices champion causes that would obviously doom us, if history and logic are any guide.

Or maybe you see hope.

You see the tides turning, the old Goods returning as more and more folks wake up. You see communities forming and markets shifting to punish the wicked ones.

The near future might look dark or dazzling.

Either way, it’s time to join in.

You know what you need to do to make the world even slightly better. While idiots blather on X, you can do something to win a battle against evil – even a small one.

I don’t know what that is for you, but you do.

Stop waiting for a sign or an opportunity. Go create it.
