Because they’re oblivious hypocrites, the woke are deranged colonisers who reframe everything in terms that suit them.
“Hatshepsut was a woman, but her statues depict her as masculine! That means she – I mean, HE – was trans!!!” Sure, the radically conservative ancient Egyptians were down with 21st Century Californian political theory.
Or the first female pharaoh depicted herself more masculine because that’s what female rulers do. They know people will judge them for it and their political enemies will use that against them.
Queens wage more wars than kings, and female politicians and business leaders dress in masculine suits.
Feminine women leaders like Cleopatra are rare throughout history. She embraced that side of herself and used it as a political weapon, seducing as many powerful Romans as she could.
That’s rarely the winning play, so it doesn’t often show up.
“Many indigenous cultures recognise trans people!” Yeah, about that…
Some First Nations in Australia have “sister girls”. These are people born with male bodies but have female souls. So they have the concept, sure, but they don’t respect or tolerate them . Sister girls were/are generally outcasts.
Besides, many cultures have the concept of schizophrenia. That shouldn’t mean we should celebrate or normalise it. You’d expect mental illness to show up wherever there are humans, after all.
But things get weird when you look at women.
Most cultures, through most eras view women as property.
Plenty expect them to be tough, clever and resourceful. The frontierswoman who can birth a cow with one hand and fire a rifle at marauders with the other is a Western concept, but not a uniquely Western one.
It’s a tough world out there. It takes tough parents to keep children alive.
The only cultures that could get away with treating women as ornaments were relatively safe, stable and successful.
I’m not saying I’d want to be a woman in 19th Century America or anything. But I wouldn’t want to be a man back then either. I am saying you could be a feminist (by 1970s standards) and not be too weird, historically speaking.
Every human culture is unique, yet they mostly follow the same patterns.
Except Christian societies, of course.
They break many of the bad patterns of the past.
Not perfectly.
Not completely.
But better than anything else out there.
That’s why faith plus what’s at this link will help you:
