The Virtus Path is a real thing.
At least, it will be once you finish building it.
It’s not a metaphor – not entirely, anyway. It’s an actual, physical pathway that starts at anxiety and ends with feeling calm, focused, productive and optimistic.
Walking it, though, is a metaphor.
That wouldn’t be hard, given how short it is. How short? About half the length of your forearm, if not shorter. That would hardly appease your pedometer app, now, would it? It might not even register a pathway that long as a single step.
What good is a Path that’s only a few inches long?
Ask that to a microchip. Short pathways let you walk them fast.
And that’s the point. You want to be able to move from anxiety to focus quickly. If it takes too long, that would defeat the point – and prolong your suffering.
No, I’d rather that you move out of any anxiety, uncertainty or overwhelm smoothly.
I’m sure you’d rather that too.
